During the challenging times of COVID, Quality Care Services was proud to apply for the KSDE Farm to School Sub-Grant. It brought new excitement and effective sourcing of local foods when it was most needed. Our commitment to supporting local foods has only grown since then. The Kansas Kneads Bread Grant is now our fourth grant opportunity! These initiatives help us continue to enhance STEM education and support our community. 

Did you know that using Kansas flour in our programs not only supports local farmers but also enhances STEM education?  With our Kansas Kneads Bread Grant, we've awarded 13 sites with bread machines to produce locally sourced goods, integrating practical STEM learning with the KSDE's curriculum. By connecting science, technology, engineering, and math with everyday activities like baking, we're shaping innovative minds and promoting sustainable practices. 

Exciting news from our lending library!  We've added a Cuisinart bread maker to enhance our focus on local foods. With local flour and a STEM approach, we pair hands-on learning activities with the KSDE's Harvest of the Month curriculum.
